I strive to provide a fun and enthusiastic atmosphere during treatment sessions, as well as work closely with family members, teachers, and other therapists that are involved with my clients.
The articulation and language treatment provided is goal-oriented, structured, play-based and allows for time to follow the child's lead.
Reading and written language treatment strategies are research-based and provide a strong foundation in phonological awareness, sight words, vowel patterns and include Greek and Latin prefixes, suffixes and roots.
Parents are invited to stay in the sessions and learn along with their children.
After working in a public school setting for 8 years, I joined a pediatric private practice in Woodinville, Washington in 2001. Since September 2013, I have worked within my own private practice also located in Woodinville. I am PROMPT trained for levels 1 and 2, and provide Beckman oral-motor intervention as well as oral-facial deep tissue release. The following are some of the programs I use during reading, spelling and written language intervention: Writing Matters, The Writing Revolution, and Wired For Reading ®.
